This summer heat needs to go July 9, 2026 5:08 am Today has been an extremely productive but also a somewhat balanced day for me. I woke up at around 2 once again and ate lunch while working on this website. If you're wondering what changes I did today, well it's almost all in the photo gallery. I spent nearly the whole day adding old photos of mine from around 2024 and 2025. It is slow work since I have to add every photo multiple times and then edit the links to point to the right files. You may think that most of the time goes into converting and resampling the photos or maybe even designing the page itself but you'd be wrong to think that. Most of that stuff only takes around a few minutes at most. Most of the time however is spent adding and editing links and making sure that they point to the exact right paths where the files are. It is serious work and not just child's play and you actually have to focus hard or else you'll lose track of what photo you're in. I don't know maybe the way I'm doing it is just really suboptimal but I mean I'm almost halfway done so there's no going back now. I'd like to have the photo gallery finished by the weekend. At least for the most part in terms of old photos. If you'd like to know just how much time I spent into this website today well I started first thing after waking up at 2 and I finished around 1 am almost 11 hours later. That's not to say that I didn't take breaks or anything but still. It is not easy, especially not in this heat...
That's right the summer heat has finally reached us here. It's not umcommon for it to happen around this time of the year but it just seems like each year it gets more and more unbearable. Maybe it's just a matter of not being used to it since nowadays I spend most of my time indoors in front of a fan but it really does seem like the climate is changing these days. Each year we get hotter temperatures during the summer and the amount of snow in the winter just keeps decreasing. It's quite sad to see but there just isn't much we can do about all of this. All I can do is hope and never take winter for granted ever again. Today I also took on a major challenge with my Nintendo Famicom. Since the Famicom is a Japanese console that only outputs video a signal through RF it's a pain to get working on television sets from Europe due to the television broadcasting standards and frequencies being vastly different between the regions. I have been able to get a stable image with 2 different TVs that I own no problem but the problem comes in with sound... All I ever hear is buzzing in the background and it's really unfortunate because it'd be great to listen to the amazing soundtrack of Kirby's Adventure while playing the game. I had done some research online on how people might get sound to work on the Famicom in Europe and one thing that I found was running the Famicom through a VCR. Now that seems actually pretty reasonable since VCRs have built in analog TV tuners too. I had previously not known how to use the tuner on my VCR and turns out you have to press very specific buttons to operate it. Well long story short I figured it out with the manual I found on the interwebs but it didn't help my issue at all unfortunately. In fact it was even WORSE than with just the TV tuner on television. Now I wasn't even able to get a stable picture and sound was completely out of the question so in the end I decided to abandon that method but hey at least I finally learned how to tune channels on my VCR and I tried it with my European Super Nintendo and it worked just fine. In fact the image looked pristine to me even though it was simply RF still. I still need to find a workaround or some sort of device with a tuner that can tune to the Japanese analog TV channels needed for the Famicom's video output to be displayed. I'll figure out something soon enough. If it's for Kirby's Adventure I will do anything. After I got done with all that bullshit and the website too I decided that y'know what you've worked hard enough today and you deserve a break. So I spent the rest of the night just relaxing. Talking to friends online, listening to mp3s on my PC and drinking Mountain Dew with Yuno. That was really chillswagg.
After that I finally decided to finish watching Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat since I only had 12 episodes left and I still had some time before I was going to be tired and ready to sleep. I'm not gonna write a whole essay on this show but I guess I should mention some things that it made me feel. The show takes place in Planet Di Gi Charat and the story revolves around the princess of Planet Di Gi Charat. Her name is Dejiko. She is a cute chibi like catgirl with the goal of making everyone in the world happy. I absolutely adored the design of the characters in this show. They're very cute and adorable and also everyone has cat ears and they all end their sentences with "nyo" or a similar Japanese onomatopeia of cats. The episodes consist of Dejiko and her friends being faced with various issues where they really have to help people to be happy again. It can be anything from small things to big things but the thing is I have a ton of respect for Dejiko and her friends because they're just so cool. They never give up trying to help people be happy and save their day no matter what it is and I think we humans could learn a lot from them. The show teaches you pretty important lessons and it was pretty touching to watch at times too especially for a kids show like that but honestly I've noticed that a lot of kids shows are exactly like that. They're always very touching to me with their lessons and stuff. Unforgettable stuff. I look up to Dejiko and her friends and y'know what... I kind of want to act more like them in real life too in terms of helping other people in need because it's just a good thing to do obviously.
I should also mention that last night I made my YouTube channel along with all my old videos public again. And the reason isn't because I'm going to be back on YouTube or anything. I just realized that I had a lot of videos that I was genuinely proud of and I didn't even have many of them saved anymore as files on my computer so I decided to just republish everything. I mean who's it gonna hurt if I do that and it also saves me from the pain of having to host everything on this little website of mine. So yeah my channel and my videos are back up for viewing but don't expect any content from me on that platform. At least not serious videos like I did before. I realized that this blog thing works way better for me than vlogs did because it feels more intentional plus I don't have to worry about speaking or how I look on camera or anything. I also have more time to think about what I actually want to say and go back and edit the things that didn't feel right. I mean yeah I'm still a beginner even in this and I did improve with vlogs too and I might actually continue doing vlogs here later when I get the video stuff figured out but for now I think I'll just be updating what's going on in this blog because it's proven to be a pretty neat way for me to get my thoughts together.
